Abstract :
The evolution of foundation fieldbus system is now being attained by the integration of new function blocks and new control techniques integrated to the standard functionality of the system. This paper describes different ways to use a newly developed state estimator function block on control loops based on estimated state feedback for SISO dynamic systems. The different control loops variations are explained and the correspondent function blocks strategies are presented, pointing out the advantages and applications of each strategy
