Abstract
As a new kind of miniaturized valve, the ice valve was developed to close or open the micro/nano channel by freeze/thawing the working fluid inside. Because of no moving elements and unique principle, the ice valve is provided with several excellent performances. To extend the working capacity of existing technique, this study is dedicated to bring forward an alternative strategy for the controlling of the micro channel array via only a single ice vale and to numerically simulate its operational behavior. Parametric studies were performed from which the comprehensive working features and controlling activities of the valve can be well understood.
