Analysis of the mechanism of enterprise open innovation based on technology lifecycle

This paper attempts to combine technology lifecycle and open innovation to discuss the mechanism based on the existing research literatures, redefines and divides the stage of technology lifecycle according to the law of technology development, namely technology research and development stage, technology application stage, technology mature stage, technology recession stage. The paper studies the leading factors of open innovation in the different stage of technology lifecycle, and furthers to reveal the mechanism of open innovation based on technology lifecycle. Because of the different characteristics and resource endowment in the different stage of technology lifecycle, enterprise should take the different open innovation strategy. In the end, the paper puts forward some countermeasures about open innovation in the different stage of technology lifecycle.
