Abstract :
Orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing (OFDM) exhibits a significant sensitivity to the phase noise of the oscillator. For this reason, it is important to evaluate the impact of the phase noise on the system performance. In this paper, the background for phase noise is presented. Meanwhlie, the two models are given for the purpose of the analysis and simulation. Then, the effect of phase noise is analyzed in detail. The phase noise analysis of VCO is presented. In particular, the analysis result is verified by the numerical example and simulation
