Abstract :
Coefficient quantization errors could adversely affect the frequency response and stability properties of both 1-D and n-D digital filters. The author provides an analytic framework for evaluating filter frequency/wavenumber response under finite arithmetic errors from a small subset of fixed extreme filters. An approach for applying boundary implication methods to the analysis of interval FIR (finite impulse response) and IIR (infinite impulse response) frequency responses is evaluated
