Abstract :
We propose a reduced rank linear receiver for spatial multiplexing in the presence of severe correlation. The proposed receiver outperforms its full rank counterpart in the highly correlated channel and can be used as part of each detection stage in successive interference cancellation (SIC) receivers. The proposed detection method is evaluated for different power allocation schemes under the assumption that long term channel state information (LT-CSI) is available at the transmitter
