Abstract :
We demonstrate transmission of 8×80-Gb/s PDM-OFDM-16QAM signals at a channel spacing of 12.5 GHz over 4,242 km with EDFA only amplification. It achieves the longest transmission distance at the SE >;5 b/s/Hz to date.
