Abstract :
A nonconformal volume integral equation is presented for electromagnetic scattering from penetrable objects with complex permittivity and permeability. The method of moments solution of the equation leads to a symmetric coefficient matrix for a reciprocal medium. The mesh that discretizes the object need not be conformal. Moreover, the numerical study proves that the formulation is well-posed
