Abstract :
This paper describes characteristics of a power inversion adaptive array (PIAA) for portable equipment. The antenna consists of two quarter-wavelength inverted-L antennas on a cellular-phone-sized rectangular conducting plate. The directional pattern is calculated with respect to the directions of a desired and an interference signal direction by a moment method (WIPL-D). The results show that the signal-to-interference ratio (SIR) is improved by using the PIAA
