An analysis of cultural factors in high-speed train design—Taking Acela Express high-speed train as an example

The production of high-speed train in China is technology-oriented, rather than design-oriented, so the analysis and research of high-speed train related to design and cultural factors is very scarce. In this article, the author took Acela Express high-speed train as an example, and analyzed the influence of multi-cultural factors in high-speed train design. The analysis of the article carried out from two aspects: one is the users´ cultural backgrounds of the design, which refers to countries or regions in which the train are running; the other is the providers´ culture of the design, including high-speed train operators and designers. Through a detailed interpretation and analysis of the impact of cultural factors on Acela Express design, the author attempts to provide a useful reference to China´s high-speed train design.
