Abstract :
In this paper, analytical solution to magnetic field distribution and accurate performance prediction of an interior permanent magnet synchronous motor (IPMSM) has been obtained using a novel transformation technique. The effect of stator slots, rotor saliency, and magnet shapes are considered in this model. To validate the accuracy of the new analytical method, results are compared with those obtained using transient finite element method (FEM)
