Abstract :
WiMAX has been an appealing technology due to its provision of high data rate applications to users. In this paper, we have estimated and analyzed the capacity of IEEE 802.16/WiMAX network, taking into consideration as a cellular mobile technology. Capacity here is in terms of number of users in a cellular environment of definite size. The performance measures used for this analysis are coverage and capacity. A reference scenario is considered. Different parameters for this scenario are assumed and adopted from literature.
