A study on the factors of automobile styling with preferences of young people in China

Abstract :
Things have been able to become a carrier of social meaning, identity and status is due to their structure such as form, material, color, brand, space order and so on. Chinese automotive industry and automotive consumers market has been developed into the world´s largest automobile consumer market rapidly. The study of design elements on Chinese consumers´ preferences is necessary for the automotive design. In this paper, we conducted questionnaires and collected model samples of consumers´ preferences using Frequencies analyze and Crosstabs analyze methods. We suggested the specific elements in the automotive design preferences target on China young generation and analyze the different preferences between female and male.
