Abstract :
Due to the recent polularization of music or movie data delivery on the internet, relay-based webcast, the data are relayed among clients. Although this can reduce the load of the server compared with the systems that the server directly transmits data to each client, the continuity of the data is interrupted if clients do not receive the necessary data until the time to start playing the data. In this paper, we propose a method to reduce interruption time for relay-based webcast. Our evaluation shows that our proposed method can further reduce the interruption time than conventional methods.
