Abstract
SHM (Structural Health Monitoring) is becoming more important in industrial applications as safety is recognized as one of main issues nowadays. In this paper, we propose a magnetostrictive transducer to examine the health condition of thin-walled structures using guided shear waves. The motivation behind the proposed transducer configuration and its application for SHM are given.
