Abstract
A theory is developed that allows one to simulate the dynamics of a contrast agent microbubble near an elastic wall of finite thickness. The aim of the study is to reveal how the presence of a wall affects the scattered echo of a contrast microbubble in the far-field zone. The results obtained are of immediate interest for targeted ultrasound imaging where one has to deal with contrast agents pulsating near blood vessel walls.
