Abstract :
One of the expectations of service overlay networks is to improve routing quality of end-to-end communications. To do this, a new source routing method is proposed. The new method improves communication quality by switching paths according to the information of available resources of the lower network layer. End-to-end bandwidth, round trip time, and hop count are measured by Inline TCP measurement, and the communication path is switched dynamically to the optimum one among those available. Experimental results in a test network show effectiveness our method.
