Abstract :
In this paper, we present an effective method to optimize the dispersion-compensation scheme for broad-band transmission systems with optical phase conjugation (OPC). Its dispersion-compensation effect is verified numerically on a dispersion-managed mid-way OPC system. The simulation results show that with the optimal dispersion-compensation strength, dispersion in long-haul high-speed transmissions can be compensated for over a large bandwidth by using OPC.
