Abstract :
We have fabricated a wearable laser blood flowmeter that is functionally the same as a conventional desktop laser blood flowmeter. This innovation was achieved as a result of the miniaturization of the optical flow sensor, which was fabricated by using surface-micromachining and surface-mounting techniques. The wearable laser blood flowmeter is battery-powered and equipped with a wireless communications device. Its ability to continuously monitor changes in blood flow makes it very useful for preventive medical care.
