Abstract :
We measure loss and crosstalk for optically pumped nanophotonic quantum dot waveguides for sub-diffraction transmission. The structures are composed of an array of colloidal semiconductor nanoparticles self-assembled onto a silicon-silicon dioxide substrate through a simple two-layer process. We find ~3dB/3 mum loss for throughput in 500 nm wide devices, which is lower than plasmonic waveguides. The crosstalk between waveguides with 500 nm separation is not measurable.
