Abstract :
The recently developed flexible local approximation method (FLAME) incorporates accurate local approximations of the solution into the difference scheme. When analytical approximations are too complicated or unavailable, numerical ones can be used instead. In this paper, this strategy is applied to multiparticle simulations; the FLAME basis is constructed by solving small local finite element problems
