Abstract
To further research on methods of evaluating quality competitiveness of an enterprise, a novel quality competitiveness index (QCI) model based on experts´ rules and artificial neural network (ANN) is proposed. Existing QCI model based on experts´ rules is first introduced, and its shortages are analyzed. ANN is then employed to construct the novel QCI model, and basic principles and construction approaches of the novel model are discussed in particular. A simulation example indicates that, the novel model can fit the nonlinear mapping between QCI and observed variables of quality competitiveness, and has stronger characteristics of error tolerance.
