Abstract :
Transmission systems operating in the S-band will require the same complement of components as those in the C- and L-bands. The suitability of a variety of component technologies for S-band applications will be considered. This talk will address a variety of the technologies that are presently used for C- and L- band WDM transmission and assess their suitability for S-band applications
