Abstract :
Physical experiments have been designed and performed on single layer ACSR conductors to obtain their electromagnetic properties. A model was also developed to predict conductor operational behaviors. The results for the simulation compared favorably with the experimental results for three composite conductors: Guinea, Penguin, and Raven, popularly used in North America. An analysis of the electrical losses is also discussed in this paper
