  • Abstract
This paper presents micromagnetic simulations of magnetization dynamics driven by spin-polarized current in magnetic tunnel junctions (MTJ). The model is based on the coupling between the Gilbert equation and the first-principle term deduced by Slonczewski. The switching between the APS and PS occurs by a nucleation process. A comparison with spin valves shows that for the same range of currents and fields the switching time is longer for the MTJ
