Abstract :
This paper discusses the modeling of the effect of noises which are, in the time-domain, non-Gaussian. We propose models for their effect on each frequency based on simple assumptions about their time-domain characteristics. The models show analytically that composite noises made, in the time-domain, of Gaussian and non-Gaussian sources may have, on the QAM-symbols, an effect whose distribution is still Gaussian.
