Abstract :
The paper describes a channel simulation designed for the evaluation of a predictive RAKE system, A detailed description of the channel model is given, with reference to the implementation details, and some preliminary analysis of the model outputs is shown, A predictive least squares algorithm is applied to the model, and its performance when training on a noisy signal is shown. The channel used is characterised by a 300 Hz Doppler frequency with an 8 kHz symbol rate. A processing gain of 27 dB (512 chips per symbol) is assumed
