Abstract :
The transverse dynamic apertures were measured as a function of the octupole strength at the Photon Factory Storage Ring. A remarkable octupole dependence did not appear in the vertical aperture. On the other hand, the horizontal aperture was clearly dependent on the octupole strength. This result agreed well with a prediction of the computer simulation
