Abstract
Computation of the imperfect electric conductor thin wires by finite difference time domain method is developed. The formulas for the subcell approach that allows the spatial grid size to be larger than the wire radius are derived based on the boundary conditions between the imperfect electric conductor thin wires and the surrounding medium. Compared with the results of MoM, the method is proved correct. Using this method, the performance of grounding grid made of steel can be computed accurately
