Abstract :
This remote CMOS pressure sensor chip, with wireless power and data transmission, can also be used as an RF identification tag. It extracts operating power from the RF carrier transmitted by an outside reader station. The chip is activated when it receives power transmitted by the station. After power-on, the chip automatically starts measurements and transmits the data back to the station using a multi-tag protocol, which avoids collisions when several tags are activated simultaneously.
