Abstract
We have developed a compact hand-held microsurgical tool capable of surface-tracking and motion-compensation. The tool is based on a common-path optical coherence tomography distance-sensor that can improve the accuracy and safety of microsurgeries. It is capable of tracking the surface with better than 5 micrometer resolution.
