Abstract :
This paper discusses teletraffic modelling in CDMA cellular systems. We consider some different conditions for call acceptance, and discuss methods for evaluating the teletraffic behavior in the CDMA system where each of the conditions is used. We characterize communication traffic in the CDMA cellular system which employs each of the conditions by using some packing algorithms for modelling dynamic channel assignment in FDMA/TDMA systems. It is shown that the methods for analyzing the FDMA/TDMA cellular systems are also applicable to the CDMA cellular systems
