Abstract
We present an agent-based simulation model of the animal Trichoplax adhaerens (phylum: Placozoa). The model attempts to simulate the whole organism based on a cellular-level description. The question we wish to address is: How does whole organism morphology and behavior emerge from cellular activity? A prototype animal model was specified, designed and implemented. Cellular-level as was as animal-level behavior and morphology was demonstrated.
