Abstract :
The proposed scheme introduces electrooptical modulation for frequency down-conversion to alleviate the requirement of devices for clock recovery, which is demonstrated in an 80-Gbit/s DQPSK system. Further, an I/Q mixer as a phase discriminator is used to monitor accumulated dispersion of received signal simultaneously.
