Implementation of IPv6 in “Instituto Tecnológico de Soledad Atlántico” campus network

This article describes the results of the draft implementation of the Internet Protocol Version Six (IPv6) in “Instituto Tecnológico de Soledad Atlántico-ITSA” campus network. To adequately implement the IPv6 protocol a study of existing devices and network services of the institute was performed, tests were designed in accordance to the production environment and put up to make the necessary adjustments to ensure the success of the final implementation. Finally, an implementation plan was created, where necessary devices configurations were detailed to support the new protocol.
