Abstract
The transient finite element modeling of rotating electrical machines is described. The coupled transient electromagnetic (EM) - thermal and thermo elastic model is simulated in the different physical domains by exploiting the large differences between EM, thermal and mechanical characteristic times. The performance of the technology is illustrated through the solution of large industrial problems
