Abstract :
The authors reviewed the design concept and the key technologies of the hybrid photonic IC module for the photonic packet switching system. The applicability was proved successfully through the practical switching performances of the developed SOA gate array module. The hybrid technology should be a key enabler to fabricate a great variety of optical modules for the next generation optical network systems
