            Abstract :
This paper addresses the specifics of an innovative topology aimed to provide built-in flux controlled features for permanent magnet machines. The auxiliary magnetic field circuit design represents some challenges regarding the eddy currents´ losses. The combination of both radial and axial airgap configurations complicates the analytical approach. Results of 3D numerical techniques applied to these transient, nonlinear problem are presented
