Abstract :
This paper outlines a qualitative model which describes the action of ferrite limiters. Using this model a simple composite sandwich and slab limiter has been designed and constructed and has given a threshold of 15 watts, a maxim power handling of 50 kW, corresponding to a dynamic range of 35 dB at 8.96 GHz. The pulse was 0.7 ¿sec long with a p.r.f. of 1 kHz.
