Abstract
For a relatively long time, reconfigurable computing (RC) has been a thriving area of academic research. An indication of success is the commercialization of the technology. Is RC ready for such commercialization? what application domains is it targeting? Is it going to be a disruptive or evolutionary technology? This paper surveys some of the RC technologies in the commercial domain and shed some light on its target applications.
