Abstract
Midlink optical phase conjugation (OPC) based on four wave mixing (FWM) in semiconductor optical amplifier (SOA) can be used to compensate for Gordon-Mollenauer phase noise in CO-OFDM long-haul systems. Simulation of 40Gb/s CO-OFDM systems without optical dispersion compensation is presented and Q factor can be increased by >;6dB.
