Abstract
Summary form only given. We discuss the nonlinear optical processes, such as four-wave mixing (FWM) and transverse solitons, in waveguides of specific configuration. We consider tubular waveguides, which may be thought of as thin planar waveguides rolled up into a pipe of a relatively large radius, R greater than or equal to d, where d is the thickness of the original planar guide. We assume that only one radial transverse mode is bound by the bump of refractive index in the radial direction.
