Constructing a semantic wiki-based teamwork platform for collaborative e-research

Scientific documents, research instruments, researchers´ competence and cooperation among researchers are fundamental resources of scientific research. Research teams usually construct a platform or website to manage and deliver their scientific resources, yet almost the platforms serve as the information propagation portals with simple documents management and communication functionalities. Based upon semantic wiki, a combination of wiki and Semantic Web technology, this paper designs and constructs a sustainable teamwork platform aiming to effectively support researchers to capture, publish, share and manage explicit knowledge resources, to aid efficient scholarly communication and the development of communities of knowledge, and to link novice with experienced researchers for better team building.
