  • Abstract
    The high power, higher order multiplication is investigated both theoretically and experimentally. In the theory, a large signal device model is used. A family of high power single stage multipliers using stack varactors has been developed with multiplication factors of 3, 4 and 6 for 1 and 2 GHz input frequency. The single stage higher order multiplier is more advantageous compared to a multiplier chain containing several stages, because the efficiency is higher and the band is wider.
