Abstract :
Summary form only given. In the context of atom optics, the stimulated Raman adiabatic passage (STIRAP) method can also be used for coherent beam splitting. We discuss the status of an experiment that aims at the implementation of the STIRAP method for an atomic-beam interferometer.
