Abstract
Summary form only given. Recently, it was reported that spontaneous emission within microspherical cavities was enhanced or suppressed compared with that in free space. Based on the theoretical analyses, the enhancement factor can be expected to reach 10-103 for wavelength-sized particles. In this paper, we describe drastic changes in fluorescence-decay dynamics of pyrene in polymer latex microspheres
