Abstract :
This paper designs and develops a three-dimensional virtual learning environment platform with five applications: solar system, pendulum, Newton´s First Law of Motion, Newton´s Second Law of Motion and virtual classroom. A quasi experimental design is used to explore, analyze and evaluate the effectiveness of using three-dimensional virtual learning environment for teaching and learning, particularly with regard to pupils´ motivation and participation. The survey responses indicate several positive impacts of three-dimensional virtual environment for learners of breaking through the constraints of time, creating a better environment for collaborative exchange, promoting independent learning, and creating an ideal experimental environment.
