Abstract :
It is well known that low cross polarization may be obtained in a conventional high gain antenna with rotational symmetry when a Huygens source is used to illuminate the reflector surface. In satellite communication links it is, however, often desireable to have an elliptic beam with extremely low cross polarization. The present paper describes a method by which such a beam may be realized.
