Abstract
Computer programming skill is the basic ability of undergraduate in computer major. It is very worth exploring how to improve the ability of college students to programming. Based on our teaching practice in this area, we find that open laboratory which centers on small-scale project development is very good approach. In the paper, first, we discuss the approach in detail. Then, from a few aspects, such as incentive mechanism, performance appraisal mechanism, etc., the paper presents several important properties in the approach. Our teaching practice which has been done in recent years has proven the effect of the approach.
