Abstract :
Students in electrical engineering technology at Purdue take a required junior-year project course in which they build an electro-mechanical device (frequently a "mouse") over the course of 10-12 weeks in teams of 3 to 5 students. This paper discusses the assessment of the team experience based on an extra-credit "exit-interview" paper written by individual students just after the completion of the team phase of the course. After describing the team organization and course logistics, a summary of the students\´ comments and resulting recommendations are presented.
